In Europe, the different health systems have evolved the governance of the public system hospitals, resulting in a clear model of hospital with its own legal personality (preferably public, but also private non-profit), with management autonomy and professionalization of the management teams. However, in Spain the predominant model is still far away, and it is an anomaly within the European healthcare panorama.
